CD Release: “Liebesleid”

The Choir Day in Mainz with John Rutter and 1500 participants, online lectures at the HfM Saar Summer School, colossal anniversary preparations and many, many concerts – none of this is stopping us from releasing a new CD at the same time!

We are overjoyed to be presenting you this exceptionally beautiful CD:

Music theorist and music journalist Susanne Westenfelder writes in the booklet of our CD (excerpt):

“In 2017, the two researchers Kazuma Mori and Makoto Iwanaga published a study. The result: songs that bring tears to our eyes seem to have a cathartic effect on us, soothing us and even making us feel good afterwards. A German newspaper then concluded what we all already suspected: Music helps against lovesickness. Tear-laden [Lieder] songs against tear-laden [eye]lids.”

Will our album have the same effect? We would say: YES! Stylistically, we are once again traversing all periods and genres and have also included a few joyful tracks among the tearjerkers. You can get an overview here:
