It's the most wonderful time...

The first snow has fallen in Leipzig, Christmas markets arealready bustling with activity, and snuggly wrapped in warm socks and scarves, we are filling our rehearsal room with the most beautiful Advent and Christmas songs. What more could you want? Concerts, of course!

In the last few months we have already sung twelve concerts with the new line-up and we are very happy about the successful start and the best audience imaginable!

And we have plenty lined up for you! Below are some highlights. Those who make it to the end of the newsletter will be rewarded with a small Advent treat.

We are continuing our tradition of hosting our own ‘Weihnacht a cappella’ concerts. These will take place on

December 20, 2022, 7:30 p.m. at the Ev. Reformierte Kirche zu Leipzig

and on

December 21, 2022, 8:00 p.m. at Laeiszhalle Hamburg.

On our third attempt, it may finally happen! On New Year's Eve, we will sing two concerts at the ‘Neues Schloss’ in Stuttgart with a variation of our Landmarks program entitled ‘Here it is - Musikalische Meilensteine zum Jahreswechsel’. You can get your tickets here.

Many of you will - no doubt - be pleased about the following news: You will all get to hear us in the big line-up with Anja, Ludwig and Manuel after all! Our concert 'Brücken' will be broadcast live on YouTube on January 24, 2023, at 6:30 pm.
Of course you may also come in person to the ‘Neuapostolische Kirche’ of Leipzig-Plagwitz. Since space is limited, we ask that you reserve your seat. Please send any reservation requests to calmus8leipzig@calmus.de.

However, before all this takes place, we will finally be able to bring some Christmas spirit to our American friends again. On December 1st we will start our firstUS tourin the new line-up. We are heading to Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, New York and Pennsylvania. We can't wait!

So, after a busy first few months with the new line-up, we are starting the Advent season in usual fashion with lots of great concerts. A complete list of our concerts can be found at the bottom of this text.

Finally, here is the Advent treat as promised. It is one of the first pieces we rehearsed with the new line-up. We love this piece and have sung it in every one of our concerts so far. Now, however, it fits best, since it is actually an Advent song: 'Good-will to men and peace on earth' by Dobrinka Tabakova (*1980).
